30 Cheeky First Dance Songs #19
Love this one by Frank. It has a lot of memories but most of all it reminds me of the tv show-Married with children!
Shots I love...
There are probably going to be a lot of these so keep an eye out. They say a picture speaks a thousand words to here goes...
I love the pictures on the left they are just so....CUTE!

My latest obsession
Infinity pools! The first time I saw it was in Bad Boys II I think and it scared the daylights out of me when in the end the pool overflowed and they fell into the sea! (You had to have seen it! lol) While there is till some of this fear left I'm more intrigued! I Stumbledupon the Jade Mountan in St Lucia where every room has an infinity pool and at $950-$1200 I'm not sure how on it I am but man! It's beautiful! If I do stay though it is only going to be one night in the cheapest room because as we say in England-they are having a laugh with that price! And let's be honest all I'm really interested is that pool! Look....
Oh tell me now your not the least bit interested! The pool and the view-good heavens!

The next song is everybody's favourite. I've never actually listened to the words in detail and I must say that they are...interesting. Listen for yourself-

You what?! Yep, lollipop made out of cake! I was baffled too! Some of them are really cute though....
...but I don't see the point! Maybe, to be different? What will they think of next?!

Unique wedding invites!
I like unique and these ideas are definitely out of the box let's see what they are:
Film roll-classical and classy!
Printed handkerchief wedding maps-did not see this one coming! People may think I'm joking though!
Button save the date-I think my younger friends would more appreciate this!
Message in a bottle-cute but a little too much...
Muslin bags & wood tags-these are but I don't know.....
Balloon-this is nice-definitely an out of the box idea!
Origami DIY-easy and cheap-I'm liking it!
Tree ring wheel DIY invite-this looks like fun but it's still appealing to a niche....
And then there is the Tea towel. Practical but I think it would better serve as a favour!
This one I love! It's got me written all over it ;) It is a letterpress airplane ticket save the date. Man this is awesome!
There we have it folks! Vote for your favourite! XD

Guest books!
I'm over the traditional stuff these have got my attention.
A guitar
A card.
A customised poster.
A video guest book..each guest can record a message! Can't see this going well with my family lol!
Make a quilt..no way!
Fingerprint trees or balloons-nice idea but it could get messy!
These fun guest book pages for each guest to fill out, with a space for your name, where you traveled from, how you know the bride and groom, your wishes for the bride and groom, and even a place to draw a picture of yourself. You also have a choice between a casual or a formal option. These pages can be left on the reception tables at each guest spot with markers, and will provide something fun to do while they wait for food! The pages are three hole punched so they can be placed in a keepsake book afterwards. This looks like it could be fun!
Post cards! This idea is different! Guests write their well wishes on a pre-stamped and addressed post card and then either they mail it to the couple, or someone gathers all of them and sends them throughout the year
This is a puzzle guest book. It is a custom made puzzle that can be personalise with all your information....man every since I saw it I've fallen in love! I just the love the idea and..it's not that expensive!
Houston we may have a winner!

Cake time!
Wedding cakes come in wide ranges and varieties. They can be as different as the person for whom they are being made. It seems like a challenge that has no end, but I am on the look-out for the perfect cake! With that in mind, let's see what we have here:
Naaaa...
No way! Too tacky..
Too small and bland.
Bland
Like the oriental theme but it's not for me.
Just no....what's up with the bottom?
Nice....but I dunno
Nah
Pretty
Nice but too white!
Hmmm...
Looks like we are going to need more research...

Cheeky First Dance Songs # 30

Bouquets
There are lots of Bouquets out there apart from the normal flowers so let's see if we want to differ from the norm...
The Brooch Bouquet-This could be really cute but I'm looking for something I could throw and this my friend-could be very painful!
The Button Bouquet-Let's face it I've never really liked buttons that much-they were just a necessary evil. And to be honest having them as my bouquet-it would just annoy me...
The Catala Bloom Bouquet- It is handmade silk flower. While they can be very pretty and be kept for years-the handmade part means it's probably expensive.
The Clay Bouquet- This is very interesting and versatile. I'm guessing the colour/hue of the flowers could be anything you like! This is awesome. I'm worried because it's probably handmade too! Another thing that can be kept for years!
The Fabric Bouquet- This is really pretty too and I like that not only the textures but the colours can be played with.
The Feather Bouquet-Erm..NO! I'm not too traditional but this is way too out of the norm for me! Plus it would feel too weird...however the colours can be manipulated here to whatever you want...
The Felt Bouquet-This could be very pretty...
The Paper bouquet-Tooo cheap! It wont even feel like a real wedding if I'm walking with this!
The Charm Bouquet-NO way Jose! This one is just a huge turn off for me...a blinged out bouquet-erm-NO
So it seems like I will be sticking with the traditional flower bouquet not only will it smell good but it will appeal to the eyes even if it doesn't appeal to the pockets! :D

5 Wedding Guest Myths
Myth #1: You can't wear black.
To be honest I don't really care as long as you don't come dressed like your morning or going to the park-it it's all gravey!
Myth #2: The bride is your point person for all wedding-related questions.
Don't roll up in my spot bothering me! It's possible you may loose your head and where would our friendship be? You need to check the bridesmaids and grooms-men, or the parents or even look on the invitation-if you need to know it, it will be on there!
Myth #3: Shopping from the registry is impersonal
If it is on the registry it is because we need it! Creativity is fine, but if you gonna get us something-head to the registry.
Myth #4: An invitation means you can bring a date
Unless your invitation says +1 just don't try it! Ain't got time for random people showing up!
Myth #5: The couple is responsible for your accommodations
No we are not! We can give you recommendations but unless you are the 'rents-this one is on you!
All 5 myths-busted!

13 easy ways to decorate the wedding reception
I was reading an article on 13 easy ways to decorate the wedding reception and these are my thoughts on their suggestions:
Hang (a Ton of) Paper Lanterns-it's nice when you have a small intimate space to decorate but when the space gets larger it is possible that it just looks crowded?...I do like the idea though and it looks like it would best with a day wedding.
Make a Family Photo Wall- so apparently this is a nice conversation starter (I'd just like to say if you need a conversation starter how are we friends?!) It's a nice idea but I don't think it's for me. To dig these up with the stress of the other wedding things is not my idea of fun.
Create a Seating Board- This is an awesome idea! I've seen many like this but they've just been way to fancy of too laid-back. This of course will go at the entrance of the reception space.
Pick Up Patterned Pillows-worst idea ever! If I happen to have a random lounge area that needs to be spruced up, I'll borrow some cushions from my mom! It seems like a waste of money to buy something that is probably not going to get used after or during the event....i'm just saying....
Coloured Glassware-whilst I do like this idea I feel like it would be a waste and probably a little tacky if not done right. Then there is the chance of them falling and breaking. If they were rented that would be another stress! However, I think I've come across the fact that they have coloured coasters and then the guests could take them as favours! Kinda like that!
Reshape Your Table Numbers-nahhhh! I think we'll just fold a piece of card in half and use a calligrapher the same as below to write the number. It does look fun though.
Use a Table Runner That Pops-This idea is great-black,white and red will always have a special place in my heart but...I don't know how this would work with other colours-gold white and pink? blue, white and silver? green, white and yellow? It is nice and simple though.
Calligraphed Menus-definitely think I might get a student to do this and maybe spray the edges with lace it's not the centre of attention for the evening so I think we'll be fine...I like the way they did this with the lime...
Drape the Ceilings-living here in Honduras has made me lose my passion of draping things. Even event they have at school they bring out the draping fabric. It is nice but I'm bored of it now...a nice chandelier sounds good...
Wrap the Napkins-I think it's just easier to do an origami wrap with the napkin and call it quits-random piece of useless cloth-not digging it!
Use Table Lamp-this looks like it could get expensive. It would work nice for a small wedding and the flowers are optional. It gives me a slight bedroom feel and I would need all the flowers because I don't want to see the cords...which could be a fire hazard but the way.
Make a Chalkboard Backdrop-this is interesting! There are so many ways this can go wrong but it's cheap, easy and unique. Definitely something to think about. It might throw elegant of the window tho and be suitable only for a day wedding...

Add Tissue-Paper Pom-Poms-I like this idea because these things are so versatile. They can be strung up hung from chairs, or even tucked into vases. They can work with both in and outdoor weddings and who knows maybe I get get the boys to help with making these...if only for a while!
Finds today: coaster favours, chalk board backdrop, tissue paper pom-poms, calligraphy student for menus, origami napkins and a seating board
